Sketch & feasibility
Site analysis, communal regulations and buildable potential assessed before any commitment.

The project is modelled in three dimensions — a single model that becomes the shared reference for every trade.

Building permit filing and engineering coordination — structure, thermal, utilities — on the basis of the same model.

The atelier
Rooted in Verbier, one model for every trade
MERLO Architecture was founded in 2023 by Michael Loureiro and Paulo Mendes. Based in the Val de Bagnes since 2016/2017, they take a hands-on, terrain-first approach — working directly with local craftsmen, respecting communal regulations and integrating the alpine landscape. On every project, the BIM model unifies the team — architect, client, engineers and contractors — from the study phase through to execution on site.
